RESTAURANT ACOUSTICS

Restaurants are, by nature, a very noisy place with poor acoustics due to the hard surfaces required for cleanliness. The more customers in the room, the louder it is, and the more noise the customers make and subsequently the more noise other customers make to be heard. The high level of noise then begins to spoil the restaurant experience and studies show that this even effects their perception of the taste of the food. The best method to control this noise is to use an absorbing surface, either on the ceiling or the walls, to control the noise levels.
